Search Queries
Names, places, or other terms entered into a search tool are transmitted to the third-party company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its response. Chickasaw County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.

A message sent to us may be retained so it can be answered. It is kept within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.

It publishes general directions to the Chickasaw County Sheriff, Clerk of District Court, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, Iowa Department of Corrections, and Iowa Sex Offender Registry. Official access and dissemination are governed by authorities such as the Iowa Open Records Law in Iowa Code chapter 22 and Iowa's criminal-history law in Iowa Code chapter 692. Visitor information is not assembled into a third-party criminal file or consumer report, and this website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Outside companies power the search boxes. Their own privacy policies govern the information submitted to them, including retention and sharing practices. We do not set or control those practices. Review the provider's terms and policy before entering a query.
